Can you explain it?
Description from the video:
After heavy rains last week, the small lagoon next to my apartment broke through to the beach. Based on the eroded remains, it started out as a large torrent of water about 8 feet deep. After a few days, as seen in the video, it was reduced to a fast flowing current no deeper than 5 inches, but very wide.
The combination of a very fast current and a very new, un-eroded "riverbed" of wet sand created these other-worldly undulations in the sand itself. Can you explain it?
Location: Sands Beach, Isla Vista right next to UC Santa Barbara.
Taken with my Pixel camera, which has beautiful image stabilization.
